Worship is at the heart of our life together as the community  of faith.

Worship is about renewal.

... It's also about making connections between our faith in Jesus Christ and llife's challenges.

Worship is about seeking the presence of God

....it's also time together as a community of faith.

Worship is for learning ... and above all for giving joyful praise to God.

At Westminster, we plan our worship service to have a balance between tradition and freshness.

Through scripture, music, preaching, prayer, and the visual arts,

worshipers of all ages are challenged, encouraged, and involved.

OUR WORSHIP STYLE is varied, because we understand that there are many ways to worship God!

Most often our Sunday worship involves a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, in a simply structured service.  Sometimes we use mostly traditional protestant hymns and liturgy; other weeks we use more contemporary music and creative ways to hear and respond to God's word.  Always we are about praising God!

From time to time, our order of worship will be shaped by a theme, a special day in the Christian calendar, special guests, an old-fashioned hymn-sing or the quietly meditative mood of Taize music.   Usually information about upcoming services may be found on our home page.

Special services during the year include Blessing of the Animals in September, Longest Night Service in December, Christmas Eve, and Holy Week services.

LIVE-STREAMING

Sunday worship and most special services are live-streamed on our church Facebook page.  We try to make our services inclusive of both in-person and virtual participants.

Our Facebook page is public, so you do not need a Facebook account to watch the service.  Just go to the page and scroll down until you see a video with the date you're looking for.  Videos remain available on the page, so if you can't join us live, you can watch later.

COMMUNION

is served on the first Sunday of each month.

Presbyterians practice open communion,

which means that all Christians of any faith tradition are invited to partake.  This includes baptized children of any age.

Music and Visual Arts

are important in Westminster's worship life !

Westminster's SONGLEADERS lead congregational singing at most services, and our MUSICIANS provide music for meditation as well as accompaniment.

DURING THE SUMMER ... we are blessed with a variety of musical guests - vocal, instrumental, or liturgical movement.

Our ADULT CHOIR

... sings regularly at in worship September through mid-June
... rehearses Wednesday evenings from 7 - 8 pm

VISUAL ARTS  Visual displays reflect or complement the scriptures or theme of the worship service, or celebrate the liturgical season,  Symbols, banners, art, or flowers add meaning as well as beauty to our worship space.

                 New participants are always welcome!

CHILDREN of all ages are welcome in worship!

We have children's books and worship bags for kids to enjoy during the service.  There is also an area adjacent to the sanctuary with a rocking chairs and quiet toys where little ones can move about with a parent nearby. Someone is always willing to give parents a helping hand!

CHILDREN AND WORSHIP
Their own worship experience for children ages 4 through 4th grade, held three Sundays each month, introduces young people to the language and stories of faith.

Children sit with their families in the sanctuary for the first part of the service, then are dismissed to go with a leader to the nearby Children and Worship room. Parents are welcome to accompany them.

The Children & Worship program is offered

September through mid-May.

On Communion Sundays, children worship with their families and may participate in the Lord's Supper.
